Can you have multi player on the same console-XBox???

Can you play multiplayer on the same console?? I can't figure out how to use multiple controllers on the xbox, it looks like you need to be online or connected to another xbox.

You must be able to use 2nd, 3rd controllers on one console?? I've looked all over and struck out on a simple question.

I desperatly need to kick my son's butt at Civilization!!

no luck with this i'm afraid. hot seat was a feature on the original packaging, but not included in the game. you would need 2 copies of the game, 2 tv's, and 2 consoles to pull it off.
