Cant load saved games

When I try to load a saved game civ instantly crashes. A “runtime error” message pops up saying that the application requested to be terminated. When I start a new game it works fine though. I am running BTS with the latest official patch. I’ve tried everything short of uninstalling the game. This has be baffled. Thanks in advance.

P.S. I recently installed this mod http://forums.civfanatics.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=7278 a few days ago. I had no problems with it until now however.

Yes this happens with all saves.

Yes I can make new saved games with no problems. Its just when I try to load them.

the save loads fine for me. Could you have a look in the windows event manager and see what error message(s) are logged there after the game crashes?

Well I finally broke down and reinstalled BTS. Now I can load all my saves fine. I still don't have any idea what was wrong, but as long as it works im content. Thanks for the help Ori.
