Can't Sign in at One Page

I've got a strange problem: when I go to the forums.civfanatics.com page, and only to it, I'm automatically not signed in. When I try to sign in I get the "Thanks" message and... am redirected to the same page where I'm not signed in. Clicking on the link instead of automatical redirecting does the same. The other strange thing is that usually, if I'm not mistaken, a not signed in person will see all the forums as closed with no new posts but I see a few forums having new posts. Works normally for all other pages though. Strange, isn't it?

What are your cookie settings?
Because it just seems that they're just not allowed from the forums subdomain.

Regarding the new posts:
That again shows that cookies are allowed, so that's weird.
Because you only see that all forums are closed without new posts when you first visit the site (and then a cookie gets set).
If you later visit the site again, then all posts with the time between your visit and your last visit (determined by the time of the cookie) will be marked as new.
