Another oddity in the same game: no matter what tech I research, I can watch the amount I have researched not only creep upwards, as expected, but also occasionally vanish, sometimes just by a hundred or so, sometimes a lot more.
This is not the expected loss of science input when researching an era-winning tech that has just been claimed by another civ.
