Hello everyone, I am a new user that discovered this forum through random searching, and I definitely see a huge potential in joining this community for reasons that go beyond the Civilization series.

I guess that I can start with my interests:

I love roguelikes, gamebooks, poker, and video games with CCGs. I am very looking forward to participating Junethack, a Nethack tournament, and I am considering playing Shadowverse in the near future. I am also in the middle of finishing up the entire Fighting Fantasy series, and I am getting my hands dirty with Shadow of the Giants. I do not have too much money to spend, so I occasionally participate in a free poker group that meets in real life on a weekly basis to get my fix on.

I also am volunteering for some causes in Nevada, since I have family there.

What I hate? COVID. Since its onset in 2020 (of which I was unfortunately the first people in the US to go under a lockdown), it has destroyed my life, and been the cause of a 20 month unemployment gap that I never fully bounced back from.

Anyway, so that is enough about me for now. Hope to be welcomed here with open arms.
