Does Civ V automatically delete Autosaves, even without playing new games?

So I had this epic singleplayer game on Civilization V about a year ago when I first got the game. Since then, I only played multiplayer. I have not played a single SP game since then but I cannot find my old SP game, was it automatically pruned?

Probably. There's also an option to keep as many autosaves as you want.

Both the frequency of the autosaves & how many saves to keep are stored in the config.ini file.
