I've seen a couple versions where it was a vulture... Maybe the eagle is a different version of the story. At any rate, some kind of bird you don't want eating you. (Not that there are any birds I would enjoy being eaten by.)

Yes. Why? I guess if I get opium before my death by a thousand chickadees, like the article said victims were sometimes given, it'd be better than the eagle...

Anyway, I'd prefer not to continue speculating on different ways to die by birds, and instead usher people over to MY NEW STORY. I'll continue taking future story suggestions or feedback on Easter Island here, though.
