Fairline ToT Scenario Graphics

This scenario has me thinking.

The way improvements and the unit balance of SOC are perfect representation of medieval warfare and society. If there was a good map of Westeros, you could fairly easily make a great scenario on A Song of Ice and Fire.

If there was a way to incorporate the Lua changes, with respects of leader bonuses, you could really show how medieval warfare was operating. It would also be worthwhile to make the knight units or trebuchet units super expensive and super long time to create (which I think would be more accurate).

I would love to take a go at city placement if anyone knows of a good Westeros map.

I would love to see a scenario like that also. However, the way Game of Thrones is set up it creates a pretty balanced based scenario of 7 different factions that could all win.

Companion piece to Seize the Crown by John Ellis, which Catfish has converted and posted on his site with units I drew ten or fifteen years ago. I've updates the units, added some new people graphics and mildy tweaked Catfish's terrain to give it a greener, less dark look. I was interested to see that the latest conversion by Catfish has modded unit civ symbols / flags so that they are the correct shade for the civ rather than a much darker version of the civ colour as is the case by default in ToT. I'm not sure how he did this - does anyone know?

Great units Fairline. I have the doubt if you can create or improve the units of the Jamestout 100 Years War scenario:

I put it up. I have never been able to complete the ToT conversions of Jamestout scenarios, because they have units that I was never able to complete. And I never played them at MGE, so they are totally new to me. McMonkey, I think I remember that he liked them a lot, which is enough for me to try to finish it.

I can do. I'm just organising a medieval compilation and then said I'd look at Hammer of the North; I'll add Mongols to the list after that.

Here's my take on the graphics for Morten Blaabjerg's Hammer of the North scenario. This one's another which I never played in its MGE guise but I've really enjoyed playing Gapetit's ToT conversion. It really encourages Viking-like raiding and expansion with lots of free events units and gold for stabbing monks; what's not to like. As usual I've made use of Curt's excellent cities and Catfish's wonderful terrain. Also, many thanks to Gapetit for making the sprite file to go with this.

yep, Thor and Loki and some Jotun frost giants. Odin doesn't make an appearance though :(

It all adds to the fun of the scenario and there are some really cool mechanics like killing 'sword-in-the-stone' units to get yourself a Viking King. Give it a try.

Nope, although a fat blue giant is maybe the next best thing? And before you ask, there aren't any other Marvel Avengers superheroes in the scenario

New version of Hammer with your incredible units. Great contribution Fairline. Thanks a lot
