I used to play Fall From Heavns mod of Civ 4. One feature of the modmod of FFH is that the mod would generate a text file in game directory. In this txt file, the mod records important player's decisions, such as Tech reasearching, City Founded and What player's cities are producing etc, in the order of game turn.
Many walkthrough would include such txt file in the thread to let viewers to have a better understanding of what the author is doing during play through.
