game not in full screen

For some reason, when I started Civ3 Complete (conquests) the main screen came up not in full screen. I loaded a saved game, and the game came up in this same way:


In this screenie, you can see another bug: the units were nowhere in sight, and those little repeating slits you see are bits and pieces of 1 worker.

EDIT: this is not permanent. I just started C3C up again and loaded the game, and everything was fine, but...still. That's definitely not right

There are occasional graphics bugs like this. They are rare and generally restarting the game fixes them.
