After playing a couple of practice games with slightly lesser results, this one was played very effectively and resulted in an early 980 ad conquest.

Goals:
Fastest journey to Steam engine combined also with arriving there with enough funds to finance a very fast conquest of the 5 foreign civs. Planned wonders and likely sequence: Marcos, Lighthouse, Colossus, Shakespeare's.... and most likely Magellan's if finances permit. Recurring undemanded Hide availability factors in very heavily and i will seek to trade where the bonuses are maximized. This would normally be Kyoto which provides almost the same "trade bonus distance" as Carthage but with a significantly quicker boat trip utilizing the diagonal squares, but Kyoto has chosen to stay in despotism throughout most of the game, so this led me to Carthage. I plan for 1 early demanded gold trade and getting 2 additional trades en route, then an early size 12 with these trades en route before sending a 2nd trireme with 2 additional trades into the water.

Note that this game was played on the multiplayer gold version. I only mention it to help explain the much employed tactic in dealing with the almost always hostile foreign civs by making war with them the turn they complete a tech i want, before being able to enjoy a one-turn window of opportunity in the following turn to trade tech with them in cease fire or peace.

Level is deity.

4000 Build.
3950: > Alphabet
3800: Warrior > Barracks (placeholder for Library).
3750: Alphabet > Writing (22).
3300: Writing > Code (33). Library production rushed from 38 shields to 40.
2900: Library > 2nd warrior. Science per turn increases from 3 to 4.
2800: Code > Literacy (48). 2nd warrior > Barracks (to be sold). Approximately here city grew from 2 > 3 and science from 4 > 6.
2400: Barracks (sold) > Barracks (to be switched with penalty towards wonder).
2350: Literacy > Republic (60). 10 turns x 6 science is perfect to reach oedo 1850.
1850: Republic > Bronze. Disbanding of both warriors into wonder production which now has 63 shields.
1800: Food stores fill.
1750: 3 > 4 via food spillage (was unable to celebrate the size 3 city). Lux to 40%, two whales and 2 elvis.
1700: Celebration. 2 fish and 2 elvis to create +1 food. 50% Lux.
1650: 4 > 5. End of celebration for now. Lux to 40%.
1550: Bronze > Currency.
1250: Currency > Trade (104).
950: Trade > Map Making. 5 > 6 through food spillage (and unable to celebrate from 6 to 7). Science to zero. 50% Lux / 50% Tax. 154 shields towards Marcos.

Meet the neighbors.
Traded for and/or gifted all civs Map making, Republic and/or their tech in progress now and throughout the game whenever it seemed to be within my best interest. In this initial step, every civ ended up with map making and Republic and i was able to gift the tech in progress to 4 out of 6 civs.

Mongol: Traded for Map Making, Cer, Horse and their map.
Russia: Traded for Iron, Pottery, Warrior code and their map.
Gernans: Traded for Masonry and their map.
Carths: Traded for The Wheel and their map.
Japan: Traded for their map.
Persia: Traded for Myst, Poly and their map.

Have 18 techs now.

675. With current budget, limited income at this stage, and 5 net shield production, will be rushing caravans in 3 total turns from 5 shields to 40 then allowing them to complete in 2 additional turns. Once trades are being landed and wealth is established, will complete a caravan, building or wonder per turn from zero.
650: Gifted 4 new techs in progress (and this will happen a lot in the future with only intermittent mention).

25: Demanded gold to Moscow: 360 out of 644. Since Moscow is so close, decided to double back to pick up the next two trades for a longer journey.
1ad: Colosseum
> Hide Caravan. Celebration
20: 6 > 7
40: 7 > 8. Hide Caravan > Aquaduct. Given the tight budget and the inability to rush Aquaduct , Harbor and Temple, end of celebration for now. lux to 10%.
60: Rushed Aquaduct from 4 shields to 60 and will allow it to complete itself in 5 turns.
140: Celebration
160: Aquaduct > Temple. 8 > 9. Pause in growth for 2 turns. Hostile Japanese develop Astronomy, incite war with them.

820: 2nd Iron Clad (Veteran). 2 Hides to Carthage: 418 + 418. disbanding of 4th and final trireme
840: Monarchy > Democracy. 2nd Caravel. Revolution. Incited war with Russia, attacked with 2 Vet iron clads and Horse captures city plundering about 700 gold in the process which provided the extra coin needed for the wonder to emerge next turn. Also incited war with every other civ, all of whom were Hostile and all but one was in the diplomatically cumbersome state of Cease fire which greatly hinders the freedom to make war with them. Note: Timed this revolution a turn before i could have had Oedo Monarchy because i wanted the one turn head start on attacking Russia. Treasury: 487 gold.
860: :wavey: Magellan's. :wavey:. Also built Caravel in Moscow in disorder switched and halved from a rushed marketplace. Stepped into Monarchy.

Civil disorder in these two cities, but able to rush vet iron clads in each by first rushing a temple, then granary, then switching to iron clad with 30 shields and disbanding a wounded iron clad to complete the 60 shield vessel. Seeking to end the game in the earliest possible year and with every turn being significant, game will be over before these wounded iron clads would have been able to further contribute. Treasury: 336 gold.
940: 3 additional Vet iron clads emerge (but disbanded two weakened vessels to get here). Now have 9. Just remembered to sell Sewer. Treasury: 186.

This time played a One City Challenge with an Alpha Centauri Landing goal picking up from the save upon Lighthouse and logging a few highlights leading to that place.

Undemanded Bead to Persepolis in Republic: 316. needed this to afford a rush temple to keep the celebration going and the Harbor to follow to provide the necessary food surplus to keep growing. With a coin cushion, Hide will await size 12 before landing and will go to more distant Kyoto which is in despotism. Japanese complete astronomy and i incite war with them. Treasury: 350.

Beaker demand now exceeds what SSC can complete on its own in 2 turns (which is 1704) and any trade will make the difference.
1240: Factory. Gross shields increase mightily from 5 > 7 providing a net of 2. Russians develop Explosives just before i complete it myself and i trade them for it. Undemanded Salt to Carthage: 442.
1260: > Combustion. Gem Freight. With no commodities to build, Rushed another Transport to provide added support to the Freight trade.

Hi. @WildPony pointed me here so I decided to give it a try.

This map is unlike anything I've ever seen before. But it's fun to plan new stuff like this. I decided to go for OCC conquest.

4000 BC - Tenochtitlan founded.
3800 BC - Warriors.
3750 BC - Bronze Working. //Needed to prebuild something ASAP.
3600 BC - Warriors.
3300 BC - Alphabet. //I decided to go Monarchy because I'd need every shield I could have. Also there was no high trade special that would allow me to maintain 80% sci anyway.
2750 BC - Code of Laws.
2150 BC - Currency.
1500 BC - Trade.
1450 BC - Marco Polo's Embassy. //With black clicking I knew exactly where everyone was without Map Making and I could just send cheap diplomats. Still, the water was too dangerous and the time spent on the trireme's round trips seemed not worth it. Marco Polo was also very useful for pinpointing key civ and begging.

Ceremonial Burial, The Wheel from Japanese. Alliance.
Map Making from Persians. Alliance.
Masonry from Russians. Alliance. //Wanted money but so much off-path techs gifted.

1350 BC - Warriors.
1250 BC - Writing from Germans. Marketplace. //Monarchy seemed a long way ahead so I decided to get this to celebrate.
1150 BC - Library.
1050 BC - Iron Working from Russians. //Off-path tech.
950 BC - Food van
875 BC - Food van. Polytheism from Carthage. //Off-path tech.
800 BC - Food van.
750 BC - Food van.
725 BC - Mysticism from Persians. //Off-path tech.
700 BC - Warrior Code from Persians. //Off-path tech.
550 BC - Trireme.
525 BC - Lighthouse.
500 BC - Monarchy. Mathematics, Seafaring from Germans.
425 BC - Switched to Monarchy.
475 BC - Horseback Riding from Japanese. //Off-path tech still.
325 BC - Gold van.
275 BC - Gold to Moscow. Literacy from Germans.
225 BC - Hides van.
200 BC - Astronomy from Carthage.
100 BC - Hides van.
50 BC - Construction. Beads, Hides to Persepolis.
25 BC - Hides van.
AD 20 - Temple. //Needed to maintain celebration.
AD 60 - Hides van. Philosophy. University. The Republic from Germans.
AD 100 - University.
AD 160 - Hides van.
AD 240 - Hides van.
AD 300 - Engineering. Hides van. Hides to Carthage.
AD 340 - Hides van.
AD 360 - Trireme. //First Trireme too far. Needed this for wonderbread.
AD 380 - Banking from Germans.
AD 420 - Bridge Building. Hides to Carthage.
AD 440 - Copernicus' Observatory.
AD 480 - Economics. Navigation from Persians. Hides van.
AD 520 - Hides van.
AD 560 - Hides van. Pottery from Germans. //Off-path tech.
AD 620 - Colossus. Switched to Republic. //Ready to go beyond 8 now.
AD 640 - Invention. Gold van.
AD 660 - Hides van.
AD 700 - Colosseum. //Size 12 seemed enough so no Shakespeare.
AD 740 - Aqueduct.
AD 760 - Physics.
AD 800 - Harbor.
AD 820 - Hides to Carthage.
AD 840 - Steam Engine. Gold to Carthage. Aqueduct sold.
AD 880 - Democracy. Stock Exchange.
AD 940 - Gem van.
AD 960 - Railroad.
AD 1000 - Salt van.
AD 1040 - Industrialization. Ironclad.
AD 1060 - Aqueduct sold.
AD 1120 - Communism. Persian Alliance cancel.
AD 1200 - Espionage
AD 1220 - Transport.
AD 1260 - Switched to Communism. Spy.
AD 1280 - Spy. University sold.
AD 1300 - Spy. Library sold.
AD 1320 - Spy.
AD 1340 - Spy.
AD 1360 - Spy.
AD 1380 - Transport.

...

Building up a strike force consists of 10+ spies for poisoning and destroying fortresses, a horseman, a few ironclads and a chain of transports, as many as communism could support. Building Factory and Magellan. Setting tax rate to 8/0/2, for most gold possible and just enough luxury for celebrating. Later spamming spies and replacing damaged ironclads with transports to pick up recuperated spies.

...

AD 1670 - Persians killed.
AD 1690 - Russians eradicated.
AD 1700 - Mongols exterminated.
AD 1752 - Germans obliterated.
