You cannot do this without getting you feet wet in python. However, you can install all of BUG and then use the Alt-Ctrl-O Option tab to disable all the items that you don't want.

Oh really? Wow, that sounds about perfect! Does work OK with Bhruic's updated python fixes from his unnofficial patch?

I was unaware that the Unofficial Patch included any Python code -- just a new DLL.

Also, the only thing we add to the font file is the Attitude Icons which you can disable in the Options Screen (ctrl-alt-O).

Here is the relevant part from Bhruic's first post for his unofficial patch:-

I'm also including a supplementary fix dealing with XML/Python issues. This patch is not necessary to use the dll patch.

Changelog:

• Reactivated the Glance diplomatic screen
• Fixed a bug preventing war declarations via Worldbuilder
• Civilopedia promotions no longer display a unit class if only a subsection of that class can get the promotion
