Warlord
Without fail, as soon as you take an enemy city, there are neighboring cities (sometimes other enemy cities, sometimes that enemy's neighbor) that immediately begin to spank you with culture.
How do you handle it?
I'm not sure the best method to handle it. I've often times waged wars that are too long because I'm always going after that "next neighboring city" to deal with the culture problem. I sometimes plan my wars, gauging to go one city deeper than I want, cause I know the last city will fail. Leaving a capital nearby is always a risk, too, as capitals usually have the palace and an early wonder or four.
Your feedback is appreciated. I find myself stuffing captured cities with Great Artists, specialists, and culture producing buildings. I will also prolong the war to take that next city that's causing culture trouble. Both of those are costly, wasting time producing culture bulldings, and also maintaining a long war.
