An update to the World According to Modders has been a project long in the making, and this iteration marks the culmination of my ten years within the Civ modding communites in the most fitting way possible: to finally hammer on and get it done. It is a homage to, and a good laugh with, the many people that have come and gone and made these ten years some of the most rewarding and meaningful experiences in my life. Churs lads, and I hope you enjoy.
Spoiler :
The World According to Modders was an April 1st, 2013 release featuring several of the times most prominent civ modders and the Lord God Whoward as playable civilizations. Although the original mod and an accompanying 'True Start Location' scenario is still available (see below), plans to release each civilization individually and updated have begun. The initial release features Whoward and Gazebo (see below).
If you want to be included as a civ, you need only ask, but the priority at which you'll be included depends upon how many items from the FAL below you provide:

Original Original Overview
Spoiler :
A while back, Homusubi paid homage to the modders here with his fantastic map. Well, I've decided to take this one step further, and create from it a mod and scenario that reflects the work of those who have contributed to the development of custom civ-making for Brave New World.
First, this mod is an overhaul of the available civilisations. It removes all default 43 vanilla civs and replaces them with 12 custom civilisations that reflect those who have contributed significantly to the development of custom civilisations here. They can be played like any other civilisation - with whatsoever other mods you regularly use; though it is not recommended that you play with mods with add other custom civs (ironically so) and in some cases explicitly blocks them. All civs come with pre-built YnAEMP and Ethnic units support.
Secondly, this mod comes with two pre-built maps: a Large Europe map and a Huge Earth map. These maps are derived from Gedemon's YnAEMP. On these maps, cities are pre-placed to reflect the scope of each civ's civ-creating career. For the purposes of this scenario, unhappiness from the number of cities is halved and you begin with +5 Global Happiness; hence the maps are included in a separate mod. These effects are facilitated by your Palace, the position of which is not pre-determined.
