In addition to always providing 2 food/0 prod, jungles provide 2 research points with the university, and you can build trading posts on them without cutting them down, which gives even more research with one of the Rationalism policies. It's interesting, compared to Civ IV, where jungles were mainly just the target of a massive deforestation effort. Now they might actually be the best tile in the game.
