HEAR YA! HEAR YA!

All SG Ladies/Gents and lurker fellas are invited to join.

Here goes SG open for everybody. There's gonna be no roster thingy.

1. Though this game will be DG difficulty, there's no exp limit. Chieftains can play too.
Their mistakes will pose challenge for more experienced players (just try not to gift all cities in one
turn. OK? ;) )

2. I'll start first 20 turns. Next who posts Got it MUST play 10 turns within 12 hours.
If person who posted Got it doesn't post save within 12 hours for any reason, anyone can grab the game.

3. Player must wait at least 2 turns till he/she can post got it again (i.e Got it * * Got it)

4. If nobody plays within 24 hours, I will play, so this game isn't going to be stalled.

Everything will be random (barbs included)
Standart map.
Diplo victory is off. Any other VC is on.

If we win last player gets Lamborgini Diablo.
If we lose last player gets banned forever from CFC into Germany of GR8B SG.

It was joke, of course.

Looks gorgeous

Will say I have it when I can play it :)

madviking, I first said that i take it... Then i have played 10 turns, take screen, write log, to see... that you already post it.
I think you must first say I got, and only then play...

Yeah, he's a bit hyper at times ;) but nothing like Own :wow:

We start rolling, eh? Wait till we get to raiders and you'll see 3 got it every second ;)

BTW, as you see, guys, got it should be posted first.

@Smart,thanks for willing to play. It's a pity you played in vain, but you can play now.
Madviking posted log only two minutes after you posted got it. :)
Anscient Age turns are not especially tiresome. (But are very important)

Thats a bit cruel, don't you think?

Looks like a nice start though, I may have to take a turn somewhere down the road once I have some more time.

1. -
2. Founded Canton
3. Meet Iroqous. Buy IW for Masony and 4gpt. Sell IW to Zulu for Ceremonial burial and 32 gold
4. -
5. Beijing have built settler. Worker completes road to iron.
6. -
7. Build Nanking.
8. -
9. Beijing builds spear, start settler
10.-

Now, i think, we have to build 3 more cities in the first ring (red points on screenshot), and then create a good army of swordsmans to destroy our neighbours :)
What about GLib? I have started prebuild, but not enough shields collected, so we can switch, if GLib not needed.

Looks good. 2150BC - 4 cities - good. :goodjob:
This eastern red dot is a bit too close to Beijing to my liking.
Yes, we lose tile and fish if not settle there. But city there will rob Beijing of its productivity later.

Sure, I wasnt see that there are only two tiles to east dot... New city placement attached

Got it, I concur on that new dot E and will settle there ASAP.

Nice idea Leha!

Will try to get some turns in this one sometime. Let's see, the drill is: declare on everyone, and then let Greece run away with it, isn't it?

Pre-Turn: GLib? DG? Not on this start. As I think Beijing would be more productive as a 6 turn sword-settler factory, I'll start working on it and will build a barrack first, then see how it goes. If I count it right, it's already good to go for archer/settler on 5/6.

Switch Shanghai to granary, Beijing to barracks

T2.
Beijing Barracks-Archer

T4.
Beijing Archer-Worker

T5.
Canton Barracks-Sword

T6.
Beijing Worker-Archer

T7.
We have Writing; MM is out. I pursue Philo right now, 30 turns without sinking into bankrupcy.
With nothing better to do with a now-obsolete tech, I cash in for Wheel and Mysticism (+13g) from Hiawata and Gandhi. HBR is out.

We have horses outside Canton :D

T8.
Beijing Archer-Settler

T10.
Canton Swordsman - Swordsman

There isn't much more to do before Beijing is a 3 turn swordsman-settler factory. You can run it for 3 turns growth and do archer-settler until then. Osman met, he is up Math and HBR, not MM.

The way I see it, we need at least one other city from our core to be able to make a worker every 5 turns - strict minimum IMHO. One granary is underway, and I'd be for another one, probably in that next coastal city, it'll have a lot of chops to helps it come up.

Philo in 14 at 11 -1gpt

Turn 1, 1725BC: Beijing settl -> sword.

Turn 2, 1700BC: Zulu of all people have Philosophy (and Math, Philo, HBR). sci 40%.

Turn 3, 1675BC: Nanking spear -> worker.

Turn 4, 1650BC: sci 70% (gpt deal with Iro ends). Beijing sword -> settler.

Turn 5, 1625BC: India as Poly. We have no trade value, just hope we get to philo in time... sci 80%. Tsingtao settled -> granary.

Turn 6, 1600BC: India boots our troops. Nanking worker -> sword.

Turn 7, 1575BC: Iro have moved a settler-warrior pair next to our archer. But they are very close, it's not worth it I think. sci 70%. Beijing settler -> sword. Shanghai granary -> rax. The city needs 5 turns to grow, plenty of time to build some military between the settlers/workers. Indians start Artemis.

Turn 8, 1550BC: settler goes to Tobacco, a nice river spot that will lock the incense for us. sci 80%. Philo -> Lit.

Turn 9, 1525BC: I'll run Lit at min for now, our treasury is at 1 gold anyway. Next player can decide what to do.
Trade Philo + 4 gpt to Ottomans for Math + 3 gold.
Trade Philo + Math + 4 gpt to Iro for MapMaking + HBR + 2 gold.
Trade Philo + Math + HBR + MapMaking to India for Poly.
Trade Philo to Vikings for 63 gold.

Canton sword -> sword.

Turn 10, 1500BC: Ottomans suddenly have a lot of gold, they may know someone we don't know.

Our little empire:

notes:
  • settler can plop down on the spot I think.
  • Beijing is 6-turn sword-settler factory.
  • The chop south of Beijing will be sent to Tsingtao.

The save.

Real nice, trades, Beijing and all. Btw, why would the chop go to Tsingtao? Is not Beijing built first and at equal distance? Is Tsingtao currently working the tile, affecting the chop? I'd like to go to sleep a tad less dumb tonight ;)

With the other towns in place, the tile SE of the incense looks good to me.
