Oz,
Are there any limitations to the choice ?
I mean - no creative trait for example.
I'll probably start up a new thread tomorrow or Wednesday for MLG4 (looking at a weekend or early next week start) and post a wrap of MLG3 here after r_rolo's game is in.
No limitations. All leaders are able to be picked. There are different ways to win by culture, leading to different people prioritising different traits (for example I rate Creative lowly for a culture win others will have it first priority). This will make it (in some ways) more interesting to observe others games as they will play out quite differently.
I'm voting in favor of killing the goody huts. Unfortunately, this also brings up the debate about random events. IMHO, I feel that random events could play a bigger difference in a game than goody huts. I would vote NO goody huts and NO random events, or else keep both.No goody huts is one. I'm leaning towards this as an option, takes a bit of randomness out of the game.
Definitely assign starting units to the appropriate civ, given that it isn't too much of a hassle. And yes, scouts are given to any civ that starts with Hunting. The other is the starting unit. I basically made a mistake the last two games by giving everyone the same starting unit (scout in both cases). I'd prefer to now create the saves properly this time and give scouts only to those with Hunting as a starting tech (that's right isn't it?).
