Marine Army Bug

If you create an army full of marines and attempt an amphibious landing you get an error saying this can only be done by marine units.

same with armies of paratroopers trying to do an airdrop

paratrooper divisions commanders (leaders) jumped out with them as we all saw in band of brothers... so why cant they here =/

What is the point of armies then if you cant use the special ablilities of the units. I could understand this if it were a mixed army but of all the same type!!!

Perhaps Dan could comfirm if this is a bug or is this how Armies were intended.

I've had this problem as well. It should most definatly be fixed.

The same problem if you use Tanks or Modern Armor.

If you are in an army you don't get the ability to attack multiple times even when all of them are all tanks or all modern armor.

this isn't a bug, it's documented in the readme.txt that armies don't inherit any special abilities like marine landings

Right. The 'amy' is like it's own type of unit. Really, all it gets is the combined HPs of the units loaded into the army, but still only has 1 movement point, and no special abilities.

As it stands now, marines and paratroopers need +2 def/attack both
