Modmods Requests Thread

That sucks. Stupid 'Y' chromosome, eh?

More to do with small differences in colors that evade me. let me explain my low vision:
  1. Can't see faraway objects
  2. Can't read or view small objects
  3. Sensitive to strong light

The reason for third is obvious: my pupils don't expand nor dilute as needed.
The first and second is very similar to the third but more to do with magnifying functions in our eyes.

So seeing different some colors are not as easy to see. Blue and green fo example.

I'm glad you could get Shamanism to reach Meditation though, that was my intention. If I'm not mistaken, Monotheism became the prerequisite for Med, in RoM, so that always bugged me. Thank you again for your efforts. Could you get any pictures up?

Something has gone wrong with the Shinto pedia screen since none of the buildings and units are showing up there although they seem to work as required in the game.

I have not got the civics adjustment to the buildings to work yet.

I have removed the previous beta. Maybe its about time I created a new thread for this or atleast added it to my modmods thread.

Don't move the green bold ones. They are ones that already required things. And even if you are colorblind I still made the text in bold so you could tell the difference. Thus the Cataoult and Trebuchet have to be made at the siege workshop. Same goes for the bombard cannon and cannon at the cannon forge. There are also others like Automatons and Cyborg for the Cloning Factory.

I was using Afforess' list not yours so there was no colour there and those other units weren't there either :(

Dancing Hoskuld, your list of units seems better, but keep the siege units with the Siege Workshop, please?

I think the Android Factory needs to be moved earlier then, if it conflicts with so many units. It seems silly to come afterward.

1. Awesome! Have you started work on the Farm Mod yet?

2. Well i think it was moved to later since "Droids" are not the same a "Androids". They really just need like a "Robot Factory" when robots are invented to put all the random robots in.

Why isn't theme park in the tourist mod with a world wonder of "Disney Whatever". Or was that in another of HydromancerX's mod suggestions.:mischief:Then there is historical recreation sites like Soverign Hill here in Victoria - a place tourists go to experiance some part of history.
 
My two cents if I may, leave the crossbow with the armorer rather than putting it in the siege workshop as you mentioned earlier?

Why? Crossbows are more a siege weapon than anything else. They're actually fairly sophisticated technology.

I would like to request that the "Units Requiring Buildings" to be put on "Indefinite Hold". My reasoning is it seems we are just trying to force it to work. Right now its too much effort for somthing that will probably break the games balance anyways. I think we better just step back and work on some of the other suggestions and then come back to it at a later date. What do you say? Maybe by then one of us will have a moment of inspiration on how to make it work.

There is already a "Amusement Park" building in RoM. There is also a "Vacation Resort", "Hotel" and "Casino" buildings.

So have you started on the Farm or Vacation programing? Or do you need to wait until 2.8 is out to do that?

Nope. I have enough to keep me busy for a while. Perhaps you and Dancing Hoskuld can argue over the Training modmod again... :) And perhaps work out the future and transhuman era's while you're at it.

Yes, they're sophisticated technology, but while they'd be useful in a siege, I conceptually think of a siege weapon workshop as a building where they'd have numerous carpenters, etc, for assembling large war machines. the fine parts that make up crossbows just don't seem to fit there. they're really more the pinnacle of archery, than siege imo. OTOH, I've only been playing a short time, and might not be the best person to decide issues of balance :)

So they won't be in the Uber Modmod pack for Monday? Darn I was hoping I could try them out with the new 2.8 RoM. :(
