I've seen a few other threads like this, but I suppose my questions are a little more in depth.
First of all, what do the four different types of connections do and how are they used? IE, I assume internet games is just where you play with anonymous people using gs, but how would I just play me and my friends if our computers aren't hooked directly together?
Then of course, I have trouble even using gs. It refuses to let me log in (using the internet games choice) and is a total pain in the ass. Not that I honestly expect there to be many players on in the first place.. like civ 3 play the world which was a disaster imo >_<. Do I need gamespy arcade? is there a specific program I need? I have xfire...
anyway, if someone could just help give me the rundown on how to use civ 4's multiplayer id really appreciate it!
