The Solar System. Quiet. Not because of lack of activity; Earth is full of almost hellish action. It is in such disarray. The vacuum, however, makes it about as loud as the wind blowing on a temperate spring day.
Or does it?
An unnoticed superstructure glides along the out-most part of the system. It's mysterious blue aura invisible in light of the stars on the background. Its existence is unknown to the inhabitants of this system. Even if it were discovered, they would never understand the masterpiece. Its creation. Its legacy. Its reckoning. It reacts. It has received something. More than something. It has received many. They may not understand it. But they will receive it. They will receive...
The Harvest.

The King was awoken from his slumber. It was distasteful, all of the noise. But it was the alarm. He had a duty to answer to it, no matter how much of an annoyance it was. It was Code Violet. The whole city of Jerusalem will be awake. They had to be evacuated... And they needed their King. He stood from his bed, his guard were at attention in every corner of the room. He ordered a squad to evacuate his family after saying a word or two to his wife and walked off to lead his nation under God. If only he knew God were so close.
He finally made it to the central command. Many hallways were passed. Outside was visible by many windows. Searchlights stabbed the sky and alarms roared throughout the city. People were being evacuated. But no sign of any actual danger to the city. It was odd. He didn't ask questions of his surrounding generals. Debriefing had just begun, after all.
"Your Majesty. We've sounded the alarm for a most distressful reason. Only an hour ago, a mysterious aerial vehicle entered our airspace... But..." The Grand Master of the Air Force hesitated as if he didn't believe the report himself.
"Yes? But what?" The King asked, in slight distress. No answer, not even a whisper, in the room crowded with his officers.
"What is in my Kingdom!?"
"The vehicle is reported to be as tall as this building, standing over two kilometers high." His Battle Master of the Army, his most trusted of the three Battle Masters, replied.
"What? That... Can't be..." The King spoke in disbelief.
"Nothing of this scale could have possibly been built on this planet without being noticed, my King." His Battle Master of the Navy inquired.
"That's proposterous. Why has it not been shot down?" The Monarch of Jerusalem demanded.
"It... We think its operators... We think they wish to speak with us. It has not fired at any of our forces no matter how close they were. It is just slowly, cautiously moving towards this city." The Battle Master of the Army said as if to imply a possible diplomatic solution.
"An intruder is an intruder. If a nation wishes to war with Jerusalem, we must show them we can war as if not more than effectively as them!" The King yelled almost decidedly.
"But, your highness... It came from... It came from outside our atmosphere..." The Battle Master of the Air Force let out. It had obviously been holding his tongue since the meeting began.
"... What?" The King was confused, now. This couldn't be.
"It came on radar at first directly over Acre. It... It did not cross our border. It came from directly above us." The Battle Master of the Air Force continued.
"... What could... What could possibly be the meaning of this...?" The King was now at a loss for words.
"Like I said, my leige... I think they wish to speak with us." The Battle Master of the Army again pressed his desire for a diplomatic solution rathe than one of war.
"We... We will see. Ready all defenses, however... To be certain. Continue the evacuation." The King decided. He wished to see just what these people wanted, he decided. It would be the best and worst decision he'd ever make.
"Yes sir." The three Battle Masters said in unison.

The reports didn't lie. The behemoth of a vehicle was absolutely huge. It didn't fire anything at the city. It entered and docked with the Great Cross Tower - the true capital to the Crusader-State. A passage was quickly thrown together to enter the gigantic construct. The King rushed through the passage way and into the closest thing to a physical God any of the people of Earth would ever know.
When he came out, he never truly came back. He wasn't his own anymore. The people of the nation came to believe he was God's. And it was partly true. But as he was now God's, so was the nation. The vessel the people called God left parting gifts before he went back up to the heavens. An alter for his worship. Several 'Angels' to protect his new Vassal. He gave even life to the machines the Kingdom had constructed.
Above all, he left the gift of a promise.
The people of Earth will ascend.
