Notification for Old Thread

Why did I just get a notification for the start of a thread that was started days ago?

Spam filters "catch" posts of new members posting links. They require approval by staff. Should the approved post be edited by the poster, it goes back in the approval queue. When we approve it again,. it can show up in your notification as a new post.
