OK this kinda pisses me off ( history of Korea)

Kupe Navigator, please have a look into your world atlas. You will note, that there is a South Korea and a North Korea, but currently no Korea at all. So at present the Korea of the past is to handle like other gone civilizations. May be there will come a time with a resurrection of Korea, but at present this is not the case.
Our most excellent and supreme leader would like to have a word with you.

It would be perfectly accurate to say that Korea was as historically insignificant as Poland.

Poland had its moments to shine but spent most of its history being invaded and fought over by two of its neighbors (Germany and Russia).

Korea had its moments to shine but spent most of its history being invaded and fought over by two of its neighbors (China and Japan), when it wasn't being torn by internal warfare.

There is not a single part of the world that speaks Polish as a result of being conquered by Poland.

There is not a single part of the world that speaks Korean as a result of being conquered by Korea.

The Mesoamerican civs are much less comparable.

EDIT: the Koreans did put up a hell of a fight against the Mongols, though, so there's that.

Would definitely be very impressive that anyone would speak Korean as a result of being conquered by Poland.
ROFL. My original statement was factually true so you can't criticize it :)
