Hello there everyone, I'm Radio Noer, and while I'm not new to CFC, this is my first Stories and Tales story! *fanfare, etc.* Anyways, I've been going back and forth with myself on whether or not I wanted to make a little story for the enjoyment of you wonderful people, yesterday I decided I would and it was just a question of which mod I should choose. I pondered a bit and came up with a great idea "Hey, why don't I use my own mod for this story, it will serve to promote it, provide entertainment, and motivate me to try and play through a whole game rather than testing individual components! In any case, I really want a bit of a break from modding so this seems like a perfect plan!"

Now to actually get on with the story, I have a couple rules I will try to impose upon myself:
1. I shall not associate myself in any way with Saint Dane, the most evil if all spirits in Halla.

2. I must help my fellow travelers whenever they request it, unless it would cause war between the travelers.

3. There shall be no slavery in my empire, Bobby Pendragon wouldn't approve at all, and neither shall I.

4. Universal Suffrage, Free Speech, Emancipation, and Free Religion must be adopted as soon as they are available.

5. I must defeat Saint Dane to save Halla, thus war will be the final answer.

Now the game details.

I will be playing as Bobby Pendragon of Second Earth on Monarch difficulty (note that Iwill probably lose with my self imposed rules :goodjob:). Huts and Events are off and we are on a Continents map and it's Normal speed.

The sun rose in the year 4000 BC and Bobby Pendragon surveyed the area his people had found.

"People of Second Earth" Bobby proclaimed "the spirits have put you here for a reason, now build a city here and name it Stony Brook!" The citizens rejoiced and built the magnificent city of Stony Brook, full of cows, corn, and elephants (which are delightful with Tribalism giving +1 of every yield to camp resources).



The people asked what Bobby request they research and Bobby replied "Hunting, we must gain access to the rich andbeneficial elephants, they will prove useful later" And so the citizens did as Bobby requested and discovered how to hunt for themselves.



While hunting was being researched to provide fine ivory to Second Earth, Bobby's exploration party found something altogether sinister and foreboding, the evil Saint Dane.



Saint Dane's offer to rule Halla was tempting, but after very little consideration Bobby just said "No thank you" and the two leaders began going their separate ways.

The scouting party continued to the Southwest and found Loor, leader of Zadaa.



Bobby awkwardly asked Loor if she wanted to go get a bite to eat or something later but she responded she was "too busy" that night, but maybe later she would.

The Bobby commanded his people to form another band that would settle another city, to match Saint Dane's intrusion in the northeast.

"You will settle here, on the coast, with rice, cows, and bananas you shall be fruitful and healthy, allowing great production and specialists!"

Thus New York was founded, as "Old York" was already taken ;)


In this time Bobby helped his subjects discover how to mine metals and also taught them many religious things, ranging from Mysticism and Meditation, to Priesthood.



His people were overjoyed when they discovered that Bobby was building a great and important temple in the capital called simply "The Oracle". In the meantime Bobby and his followers discovered Bronze and how to use it effectively to clear forests, and perhaps allow slaves, however, Bobby was too moral for such things and declined to force his people into slavery.





Then, the constuction of The Oracle was completed, and his people were so overjoyed, they quickly massed their intelligence and discovered strange tunnels through time and space called simply "flumes".





So Bobby took a break and relaxed, looking over his modest empire, ready to expand and contain the evil Saint Dane. His advisor came up to him and asked him many questions, but in the end Bobby simply said "And so we go".

I loved that book series when I was younger! :D
 
Whoa, I didn't expect so many would like my little mod, by the way, later today a section will be posted as I've already played it so I suppose you can look forward to that :).
 
Immediately upon discovering how to make flumes to other dimensions, Bobby decided to expand his small empire.

"Go, great settlers, find spices and rice and make a city there, call it Philadelphia, the city of brotherly love"



Soon after Bobby's wonderful empire learned to write, not yet with letters, but it was a start, in fact this writing allowed Bobby to get every closer to his leading lady, Loor.

"Um, hey Loor, I'm just letting you know that you can come over any time you like, I'm serious, whenever you want"



However, Saint Dane was jealous of Bobby and Loor's love and wanted in on the action.



"Um, yeah, this is awkward but I'm kinda your mortal enemy Saint Dane, and besides, Loor might be coming over! I can't wait and I need time alone to prepare."

Later Bobby realized that many people were coming to view his wonderous Oracle, he singled one out whose name was "Moses" and told him to live in the city as an immortal to bring money and production to Stony Brook.



Then, Bobby met the young and abrupt Traveler from Ibara, Siry Remudi.



"Hey Siry, how's it going? I see you hate Saint Dane too, that's good, we should totally plot war on him later, it could be really fun"

"That sounds good, hey can I come over later, it would help if we could plan the war in the same place instead of across the continent" Siry said

"Alright, just make sure you don't come over when Loor does, I really need this war to go well to impress her"



"Hey Loor, I'll tell you how to write and train missionaries if you teach me all about you gods, how to sail (to impress you of course) and what in the world a "wheel" is.

"Of course Bobby, us Travelers must stick together"



Then Bobby comissioned another group to go out and found a city, this time on the coast, in the desert, just to get gold so he may trade it later, probably to Loor.

"Hey guys, just make sure you get that gold, I hear Loor just LOVES it"

And so the great city of Seattle was founded



Then Bobby learned how to throw clay into pots and began an attempt to build up cottages around his cities so one day Loor herself could visit and marvel at the wonderful towns surrounding his already magnificent cities.

And so we go...
 
great way to promote your mod, Don't know the series or have any room to dl but it looks very promising if you keep it up :thumbsup:
 
I don't think they have these books in Europe :p Enjoyable story none the less.
 
Alright, I've played a nice section and should be posting either later today or tomorrow (there's sooo many pictures). Saint Dane is still trying to appeal to me, sorry, but Bobby is into Loor, not evil demons intent on recreating Halla with his own twisted desires :p.

Not quite yet, in the next release of the mod though, Courtney will be in it.

Anyways, on to the story!

Bobby awake in the morning to find that his empire was running smoothly and all was well, he also had a fellow traveler requesting a trade.

"Hey there Bobby, I really could use help with my anger management and I think that it would help if I could Meditate, if you teach me how, I'll gladly show you how to shoot arrows, something I'm trying to do less of" Siry said.

"Well that seems like a terrific idea, let's do it" Bobby replied.



Later a man named only "St. Paul" was born in Stony Brook, instead of having him immediately join the city, Bobby decided to see what was on the market. During this time Bobby learned how to deal with money and how to best take advantage of this situation.



"Hey Loor, this is a really, really good deal, if you didn't insist, I wouldn't have taken the money, but since you did..."



"Siry, let's trade again, I normally don't want this 'Monotheism' thing quite yet, but I don't want to waste a Great Prophet on it, you understand right?"

"Yeah, and now I can write, this is like the greatest day ever!" Siry replied



"Good, now St. Paul, use all of your collective wisdom in one instant to kill yourself, but give our civilization the wonders of a new technology!" Bobby said

"Are you sure, I rather like the whole "Live in this city for eternity" deal that Moses got" St. Paul said

"I'm sure, this is for the greater good, isn't that what you want?" Bobby said

"Oh all right..."

And suddenly Bobby knew everything there was to know about Theology.



Then he realized he had founded Christianity, almost by accident (which Saint Dane ironically adopted)


Saint Dane tried again to get Open Borders but Bobby would have none of it.


But he did decide that he needed iron immediately.



Bobby then decided his empire needed laws so he studied various judicial textbooks until he discovered a small paragraph titled "Code of Laws" which described exactly what he desired.



And at this time he also discovered "Confucianism"



And in Stony Brook he built "The Bronx Massacre", the turning point for Second Earth, many were killed, but the various benefits far outweighed the sacrifice.



Upon seeing the horror of 70000 people supposedly being sucked down a flume to their certain doom Bobby said "Well, I'd better split this post, erm ... go and talk to Loor about this, or something"

Upon leaving the Bronx Massacre, Bobby found Loor, who demanded for Currency, Bobby naturally couldn't refuse and his gift got Loor to take their relationship a bit more seriously (got Loor to Pleased).



Then Bobby realized that even though he didn't view himself as a despot, his people did, so he decided to make himself a king, a humble one, but a king nonetheless.



Saint Dane approached King Bobby again and begged for Open Borders, but King Bobby still refused. Fearing that it would get in the way of him making Loor his queen.



So, continuing his noble quest to court Loor, Bobby offers her Ivory in exchange for gold (it isstill a "business realtionship" for now)

"Hey Loor, here's some ivory, but you can't have it for free, the others will be jealous"

"Jealous of what?" Loor asked

"Oh nothing, just carry on now" Bobby sheepishly responded



Then Bobby convinced Rene Decartes to discover Philosophy to further impress Loor with his knowledge.



Bobby then decided he wanted a calendar to count down the days until he would ask Loor out so he saked Siry, who eagerly complied, if not a bit awkwardly, knowing what he was helping Bobby with.



And Bobby then decided that getting to Civil Service would be beneficial to get an effective Bureaucracy in his capital.



And at that point Bobby decided to finally rest, with hopes and dream for the future full of fighting Saint Dane, wooing Loor, and somehow winning in the end.

And so we go...
