Stars seem kind of communist, so they are out first.

A heart doesn't have an elegant mathematical origin like the other shapes, so that is out too. Sorry ladies/romantics/surgeons

Both a square and a rectangle have 4 sides, but a square seems superior. So the rectangle is out too.

We are down to square VS circle VS triangle. A conundrum of the ages.

A triangle is way more stable than a square. So I am tempted to kick out square. A triangle feels more superior in more ways than that as well, which is how I justify this decision. Square out.
