Playing multiplayer with Conquest without the new civs and technologies

Hello everyone,

I've recieved the normal game in 2002, played a lot with it, dropped it and now re-found it, and i wanted to play multiplayer with a few "nostalgic" friends. problem is, you need PTW or Conquest to play multiplayer. Not such a problem, i can buy it easily through ebay or amazon, but i also read all the additional features both extensions added.

being, as i said "nostalgic", i would have (very stupidly as some might think) liked to play the good old "vanilla" game with my friends. my question is : is there a way to play a multiplayer game, with or without one of the extensions, that would allow us to keep the original techs and civs?

You have to find an old .bic scenario file with random terrain, or just make one yourself. Then you play it on Conquests or Play the World.
