President thread- Term 3

"Vivamus", We will live!

 I like it.

I founded Vivamus last turn, but I forgot to update it the turn here.

There is a COG galley near our capital, so I was going to reinforce the city, but after playing it, I realised that it poses no threat. d'oh
I am sending a Missionary down there for culture.

Fever River had Taoism spread to that city. That is the only the thing of interest that happened in our turn, but next turn we will get our first Samurai and settle another city. That means we need another name.

Phoenix
Ho-Oo (Japanese for Phoenix)
Portal of the Divine (allusion to Taoism and reincarnation)
Pit of Despair? :p

I see that CBR are gone now, conquered by GCA. The good news is that we are now in 5th place, ahead of COG. However COG is much more powerful and encroaching on our land. I see trouble brewing from that direction.

860 AD played and sent on.

We finished horse riding so we can build horse archers if we like. Changed research to guilds. Little mix up, BAt already started Engineering. At current research it will take 16 turns but I'm not sure we can maintain this science rate.

Started settler in Azael instead of market. With CBR gone we lost our Iron so lets get that site settled.

BCLGland will grow in 2 turns and I think that would be a good time to rush the temple and get another preist specialist. We are only half way to our next GP and really can use that prophet for a holy shrine.

With the missionary about to convert Taefed I think the wall may not be so worthwhile, but another worker could be useful, so I switched production.

COG has landed a scout in BCLGland.

I sent our new Longbow south to protect the Iron site.

Abso-gosh-darn-lutely! I agree COG probably has designs on us and with CBR gone GCA is free to come back and finish us off. Although we might as well still try and get that Iron.

This came with the save.
Dear CFC,

We regret to inform you that in this year of 900 AD, the peace between the nation of Thunderfall and the nation of Elvis has come to an end. The reasons for this are numerous, but include the itchy feet of our sailors, the tempting lures of your farmland, the weather lately (it's been awful, hasn't it?), an obscure ancient text which nobody understands (including ourselves), and a mysterious and mystic possum named Hans. Most importantly however, the overriding reason is that our finest critics have determined that your music tastes are simply awful. Our great King cannot rest until he has liberated your ears from those so-called 'songs' which you listen to (even speaking of it makes him shudder!) and brought the true music of Rock and Roll to your lands.

Prepare to be rocked and rolled.

Adieu,
EVG.

After Playing the save there is no chance we can survive this since they have Galleons and have too many troops for us to defend. I will try my best to give them hell, but it does appear that we are finished. It has been good while it has lasted.

Is there any way to get someone else pissed off at COG? Perhaps we can strike a deal.

freudian slip?
