Strik, this is a PUNK threrad. Nothing you have listed even comes close.... and yea, Billy Idol at least started out punk but then he became kinda a cliché.

The Offspring are my fav. When listenng to punk anything will do, I like all the old skool and the new stuff doesn't disappoint.
But one band I really want to here more of are the Dead Kennedy's, people say they are awesome and personally I wouldn't mind a listen.

just take a gamble and Download 'scars' or 'the horny song' or 'f**k me' (korn featured in that one) by vanilla ice. Those are my favourites. Also, any bloodhound gang fans, you may have heard 'boom' by the BHG. Vanilla ice did the start of that one. **** thats one of the classics. (ok, its not a classic, coz its rather new, but its a cool song)

That was my favorite band when I was a teenager. I grew up in New York, and used to see them at CBGBs (a club in the Bowery).
I also liked the Cro-Mags, Krakdown, Sick of it All and Warzone.
From DC; Bad Brains, Void, SS Decontrol and Minor Threat were pretty cool.
Black Flag and the DKs rocked too.
I still love the Sex Pistols and Siouxsie & the Banshees!

man, here, all the music shops sell mainstream crap, the most punk they sell is NOFX, Greenday, and The Offspring... not really punk-punk. you can also get some compilations, but they are like, busted, and victory style.
apparently you can go up 2 auckland (3hr drive) to get CDs, but they are imports, so my guess is that they are ****ING expensive.
