The coal powers our Ironworks.

Can we complete the final 250:hammers: building in Cow City without the 50% :hammers: boost?

I think we have to keep 1 source of coal even if it is unhealthy.

The coal powers our Ironworks.

Can we complete the final 250:hammers: building in Cow City without the 50% :hammers: boost?

I think we have to keep 1 source of coal even if it is unhealthy.
We can, but I had to work a few more hammer tiles (but fewer food tiles). We can make it (and could have made it on the tighter schedule).

The UN vote is off by 2 turns so we have a ton of slack now. I'm not sure what happened???

With 2 turns of slack due to the UN vote being 7 turns on the turn it was built rather than the expected 5, I expect anyone, even LC, could finish from here. I have no idea what happened but I've run into some screwing timing with the UN (and AP) before that I couldn't explain.

The only thing to manage is the pre-chopping around Science. I think everything else is pretty straight forward. Does someone want to do the honors or should we wait until Monday?

Wait, I was looking at the AP page. :mischief:

We're still on for a T221 victory screen. Someone double check me. On the F8 screen you can pick Diplo Victory but you also have to select the UN and I was looking at the default AP screen. :hammer:

I checked the hall of fame.
The victory screen is 8 turns after the log records UN completed.

Ours says UN done T213, so our victory screen should be T221.

I really don't know what happened :dunno:

There was a loose screw behind the keyboard. ;)
Phew!

We've got it then. :D

If we are good on tech and gold, probably get counterespionage on Sitting Bull to halt any crazy last gasps.

Just need to carefully finish all our buildings, revolt to Org. Religion on the victory screen, and upload.

I did pop a free gold or silver once in an SG
It was Silver and it was very early - that incident is written in 10ft high letters in the Hall of Mapmakers to remind us to populate those hills with some late tech resource .......

In this SG it makes sense. As a general rule, I disagree simply because mines aren’t used too much so the strategic choice to build and work mines ought to have the potential payoff Sid designed into it. Sid knew what he was doing.

It’s not the same as goody huts, where there’s no cost to popping Astro instead of maps.

I can finish off the game today if I get enough green lights. We have enough gold to run 100% slider the rest of the game so the only requirement is to finish off the required builds and to get all of the chops done on time.
