Shared vision for human players?

I like to play civ5 multiplayer with humans but on separate teams, we coexist peacefully and just fight with the AI. It really sucks being on a team because you are forced to share tech and diplomacy. It would be great if there was either an option when setting up the game that humans had shared vision, or that shared vision was a trade option in diplomacy (perhaps for only human players?)
