simple update question

Hi guys,

New to this forum but not to Civ (played a lot on CIV II –IV) and I have a simple question. I have bought the CIV complete edition from Amazon (in France). It should arrive today (it’s the DVD version). The question is simple how should I proceed with install:

Install all games and then one last patch (the one of Brave New World I guess)

or

Install CIV V Vanilla + last patch, install CIV V G&K + last patch and CIV BNW + last patch

After searching a while the biggest question seems to be… how do I get the patches? I didn’t buy it from steam so updating thorugh their website wouldn’t work I guess. Is there any internal game menu to update the game?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You will need Steam to install and activate the game, and the DVD should include a Steam activation code. Strictly speaking, that's all you need. Order of installation should not matter -- Steam will autoinstall everything, including patches.

Thanks!! It worked very well!! Just few problems to initialize the damn steam before the installation of the game.
