single player game to mulitplayer

Hi can I edit a singleplayer game, such that I can load it as a mulitplayer game and allow an extra human player to take over one of the AI ?

I've wondered this myself. Have you tried going into WorldBuilder and saving it as a scenario, with the AI you want taken over as well as yourself as a playable empire?
