It's possible that original civ have been around since the vanilla release since September 2010 while Poland who included at BNW (July 2013) beats all of G&K civ (June 2012) and tied with Spain who actually have an extra year as DLC.

FYI, at least 3/4 of the people who won the game on deity, played a duel map with just one AI opponent.

Achievements are not worth much. If you enable a single mod, they are disabled. I haven't gotten a single achievement in 3+ years because I like my game pretty. Still, it's better than Civ:BE where you can spawn yourself huge armies around enemy capitals in turn 1, reload the save without mods and win instantly.

The majority of players don't play with mods. Perhaps the majority who are still playing now, but not the majority of players overall.

However you can't go by steams stats dealing with mods for guidance on this because at least one of the three achievements dealing with mods was broken late in Vanilla and it became impossible for anyone else to get.
