I'm currently involved in a 5 team, 15 player pitboss game. My teammates and I all have Buddhism as our state religion, and none of us have free speech as a civic. In the current turn my teammate just completed the University of Sankore. When I pull up the city view to any of my cities, on the left side where the list of city buildings is, my temples and monasteries correctly show a 2 beaker symbol. However, at the top left where the sliders and percentages are, I am not showing any research from buildings being added (aside from the library and monastery modifiers). I can confirm that the religious buildings are NOT adding to my research total because if I drop my research to zero percent, and if do not have any scientist specialists, my empire does not make any research at all. Unfortunately, I cannot see whether or not my team member who owns the University of Sankore is reaping the benefits because he does not have any religious buildings yet.

I ran a test game with the world builder and my AI teammates seemed to get the bonus.... so what gives in this case? Does the bonus not kick until the next turn?

Generally wonders in teamgames give an immediate benefit to all members (which makes wonders more powerful in teamgames). That is when you mate builds the mids in turn 100 you can switch into rep in that turn. The only exception is the Tal Mahal where only the player who built it gets the golden age. However there are some features in the game that are not recalculated during a turn. An example is the trade route dynamic. When you build a city and then hook up a road to it in the same turn you do not have an immediate traderoute. Road first, city second in one turn will give you the traderoute. So its possible that the two beakers kick in the next turn albeit they already show up. Let me know im interested in the answer, too.

The wonder started giving the bonus on the turn after it was completed. So yes, it did take a turn for it to kick in. Weird.

Score one more for marathon, then.

But of course, good luck playing a marathon team game :crazyeye:

I looked for some other threads giving information about team play and effects of wonders, but there is just one more thread from year 2006 and I though it may be good if we try to put all we know about those in here.

So far I assume the following:

Stonehenge gives monument to all team member's cities. (This I saw from experience)
Taj seems to not fire 2 GAs, but just for the one who built it, which is OK and to be expected.
The Great Wall seems to protect all team members, but unfortunately their cities needs to be on the same continent, which is not the case with ours.
Pyramids gives their benefit of switching to all governments immediately to all team members.
Statue of Liberty seems to give 1 free specialist to each city on the same continent of each team member.
University of Sancore gives benefit to all team members.
The Hanging Gardens gives +1pop to all team members.
The Great Lighthouse gives not +2, but +1 trade route at least with teams of 2 players each. (This I saw from experience)

Will fill the list as the game goes. :)
