That's right, the Hellenes has ended. Now, a new story has begun.
The Land of the Tsars
During Chapter 1, I would recommend listening to Peter's Theme song - it really helps understand the mood of the chapter.
Chapter 1: Land of the Rus
Prince Oleg looked upon the city of Kiev. However Kiev was not the capital of the Kievan Rus - otherwise known as the Land of the Rus - Kiev was the newest city. This you could tell, for its streets were cleaner than Moskva, so were the buildings. Even the people were cleaner. All people but the Holy Roman emissaries that is. Oleg despised these pitiful beings more than his own father had despised them. All they did was claim superiority and kill those who denied it. The emissaries were not at all holy, or Roman. The original Roman empire was a great one. Oleg doubted even the Kievan Rus could top it. Oleg was born in Moskva, but his place was in Kiev. He felt the atmosphere fit him here more than anywhere else he has been. Caricyn was too dry, Rybinsk was too cold, and Moskva reminded him of his childhood. Kiev, however, was perfect. Just recently, Moskvans had asserted their superiority to the rest of the Kievan Rus by expanding their cultural borders. Oleg was just a prince, so he could not push back those borders. Oleg dreamed of becoming the first king of the Kievan Rus, but his father, the king that the rest of the Kievan Rus called a dictator, told him otherwise. He claimed to be the first king, even though his father was a peasant at the time when there was no Kievan Rus, when there was no government. Oleg would change that...
