That's the way to whack the Greeks!

Yeah, seems like interest in Civ 3 is tailing off all around. The once active SG community has been pared down to the hardcore players, as has the HOF community. Are we seeing the end of Civ3? If so, it has been a nice ride. Thanks go to cyc for being such a stalwart president and to everyone else for being part of this project.

I've seen the decline too, but haven't really wanted to think about it.

Civ4 Complete may have been the final straw. I don't have C4C (only Civ 4 Gold and Beyond the Sword) but I have been dabbling in some Civ4 activity (SGOTM mostly and very little). I was looking for a C4C this time last year, figuring that it would be to Civ4 what C3C was to CivIII; everything nice and neat, patched and all-in-one.

I will eventually migrate to 4 but first I have some III things to finish out: MTDG II, an SG or two and my HoF attempts for Machiavelli. I may attempt to be part of the CivIII HoF Quartermasters; but a Histographic Milk-Run game just doesn't sound like a lot of fun :cringe: .

Leave CivIII behind? Maybe.

Leave CivFanatics? Not hardly!

Thanks for checking in, everyone. It was my pleasure to be a part of this. It was a risk when the CIV3 Revival idea was first proposed, but we got it off the ground and flew it home. Thanks again to all. I will be hanging round if anyone else wants to play some C3C. Hew - ah!
