uninstalling a mod

Good afternoon. I installed Vox Pop both through steam and the updated here. Not what I was looking for. Even after uninstalling mod, clearing cache and un and reinstalling Civ I still have unwanted changes to the game. I show religion and happiness as off, get tile resource icons showing though the off box is ticked and a couple other what look like nonvanilla graphics.
I did not see uninstall info on the mod page, but that may be my issue. Any suggestions on how to get the vanilla game with DLC content back? Thanks
