Whatever happened to the 100 culture mini-work ability for mid tier priests?

I don't believe such an ability existed when I first found the game, back in 0.16

Are you thinking of the "Work of Art" function for the first disciple units? In marathon games, they give 60 culture. I use them extensively when I'm greening the world as Arendel Phaedra.
