What's the largest city you grew?

52... I was playing the Aztecs and my capital got that big. I got 49 with the Dutch. I had an epic start with tons of floodplains and marsh so I could build polders.

My largest was in vanilla civ... a single tile island surrounded by several sea resources I got up to about 42. Been playing modded games since and I seldom break past the mid 30s, but I tend to have lots of cities in the 20s-30s.

I had a netherlands floodplains city capital with 26 workable floodplanes each giving 5 food. Was quite insane. Though it didn't have much production until I was able to get the +1 production from river building built. I got bored and didn't finish the game but I got north of 60 population when I ended it and it was still growing. I had a few desert hills, an oasis and two or three regular desert tiles. Also got desert folklore + petra in that city as well. Was insane.

The highest I had was size 53 Venice, though I also had size 50 Cusco back when Consulates+Pledge was a thing

And it can still get like 200 more people:eek:

+200 Food would be 100 unless there's another factor reducing food per pop (and only on specialist is this possible that I'm aware).

47 with the Polish for me. I guess that only if you play OCC can you get such absurd numbers like the above screenshot with Venice.

That's pretty cool, I usually feed my city with good trade routes and such until it is working all tiles and has filled all specialist spots...then I stop and let it do it's own thing. I don't care much for the unemployed and would rather get gold off the routes. This usually halts me around 40-50 if I have a pretty full tile ring. I've wanted for a long time to get a game where this happened with all of my core cities, but have yet to pull it off. :-/

Managed Size 72 with Venice. Pumped out MoV's, snagged up 7 city states, captured a few others, and used them all to pump food into Venice. By the end of the game, size 72.

This was my largest city and was my latest save at 57 population. I recently switched over to autocracy since conquering all the other cities in freedom left my capital city starving from the unhappiness that the autocracy world ideology had obtained many turns before. Palenque was probably larger, maybe 61, I don't remember but its somewhere in my saves. I don't want to look for it because the load times are so slow and I made many saves before.

102 with Siam on large frontier map and all CS and less AI, only time-victory was allowed.

Tough time on Settler difficulty. :)

G&K, I probably need to upgrade to BNW and some addons to entertain this idea again...
