Where to install mods

I have never used a Civ IV mod before and just downloaded one. Could someone please tell me what I'm supposed to do with it now? It's a zip file (that I unzipped) and I have BTS.

This is the Civilization 3 forum, not the Civ 4 forum. You need to ask there.

There are some very good Civ III mods, and most of the people on the forum have tried Civ4 and decided that Civ3 was superior. I know that is my view.

I know that to be true and anybody denying that is a fool.

I'm unclear where what you are asking for, i.e., help where to install the mod you downloaded?

You should implement the mod according to the instructions that came with your mod. It is almost certain the mod came with instructions. You should follow those instructions without any deviation...
