I played Zulu last.

It was a close call, and it was between them and Indonesia for me, as I'm not a fan of somewhat gamble-esque mechanics (Spain's UA, Kris promotions, etc.), but ultimately the Zulu were the pick for dead last. While the Zulu are very potent in warfare, even when facing units that are a bit more advanced, the main reason I didn't try them until last was because they appeared so straight-forward: build UB, bee-line Civil Service, manage happiness and just keep up the pressure. Nothing too complicated.

For my bottom 3, it went:

Zulu (dead last)
Indonesia (second to last)
Brazil (third to last)

Zulu are so straight-forward, Indonesia is so dependent on map-roll and chance, and Brazil I correctly assumed would have jungle-heavy starts (which are fairly hit-or-miss, depending on exactly how much jungle it ends up being).

I've been really busy since I got the expansion, so there are a lot of new Civs I haven't tried yet.

However, I voted for the Zulu, because I know I will try them last - just as I tried the Huns last in G&K, not being a warmonger.

I've only tried Morocco and the Shoshone, but the only civs that I have no interest in playing are Indonesia, Venice, and Portugal. So they will be last.

I went with Brazil last, as he seemed the most tied to one very specific victory type (culture). I won with diplo just because it came earlier, but the cultural was well on its way to winning.

Played Shaka last, namely because I knew it would be a domination line, and I don't find that VC very interesting. I built 2 cities and then moved with a treasure trove of Impi. I was on the eastern most location of a Pangea map and just pushed west. That took me a little while because the last capital was all the way over yonder. I probably could have done an amphibious assault to the east, but most my units were already mid-continent.

How have people finished so many games of Civ?

Since BNW came out I've managed to play 3 games. A game typically takes over 12 hours of dedicated play.

How have people managed that for 9 civs already?

Summer break. I'm a teacher. :D

Assyria for me. Those Siege Towers kick Civ butt! I cleared a continent in record time with very few losses.

If I ever see them coming for me, I am going to

a) panic
b) spam melee units to block their paths

The only real weakness is the inability to do anything except attack cities. The AI does not get this, but a human should be able to combat them fairly easily knowing this, mainly because they need to be in front to work.

Be prepared, fellow Civvers!

Brazil is last... a few civs I've only played 40-80 turns worth of, but Brazil I have yet to even pick.

Shoshone were my first on BNW and I've played them the most, with 3 games either completed or all but over.

Venice got annoying because I puppeted a CS right at optics, but I was bleeding money from building maintenance (being on an island with just fish made the city gold-poor) and barbarian attacks made it impossible to focus on building-up both trade units and escorts.

I tried Morocco and Portugal maybe 50 turns into the regular game, but I got a full playthrough on Scramble for Africa with each.

Zulu were a bit boring because I started far from neighbors to warmonger with like I thought I would and I was bummed when I realized Impi came later than I expected; quit about 80 turns in to finish a Shoshone game.

Indonesia was the same, but it was only when I realized the Swordsman's ability was basically a spinoff of the random upgrades shtick you get in the Civil War scenario that I felt compelled to quit.

Assyria made me take a break when I realized just how incredibly long it takes to get a siege tower (I was expecting it to be like the battering ram rush when I first got G+K).

Poland was second to last if only because for some reason a free SP seemed underwhelming... then I got to playing as them and loved it. When I wrap this one up, I'll give Brazil a whirl.
