Will paratroopers become more useful?

I agree with those saying paratrooper should be a promotion. It's so silly to just have the single unit in the modern era. There's already too much clutter as it is.

I would like to see paratroopers possibly get intercepted by AA or Fighters. Have the unit have a 50%(?) chance of evasion and if it gets intercepted have it take some damage. It is realistic and it also furthermore reinforces the idea of controlling the skies.
