I completely agree with your post. I have not seen a single poster claim that Civ V is perfect. Not a single one. But many people think it is an enjoyable game worth playing, and improving with every patch; and there will be more patches. As for Civ VI, if it ever appears it will be 5 or 6 years...
Great news! I'm particularly happy that one now needs at least 3 tiles between cities. And they are clearly already looking forewards to the *next* patch. Hooray!
I recently bought the original X-Com game (the one sold under the name "UFO - Enemy Unknown" in Europe) on Steam and am having a glorious time playing it again. None of the sequels is half as much fun as the original X-Com. I have taken a break from an otherwise very enjoyable session playing...
2356. You write a letter to the mayor of your city telling him to stress the generation of money, and a year later you wonder why the city is still in financial straits. You suspect there's a bug affecting all of Real Life (TM), and consider reporting God for sloppy design work.
2352. You wonder if it's really such a good idea to hava a Right of Passage with Canada. They might found a city in Nebraska and claim it as part of their civ.
I started a new game on a higher difficulty level. There are a few rather annoying bugs I don't remember, but the game is definitely harder than before. Simply attacking everything in sight and getting rich and building bases everywhere with all the goodies you want just isn't an option any...
Anything to get rid of the road spaghetti and the Stack of Doom. Anyay, why are you guys still complaining abut Civ V? Why aren't you playing Civ IV or engaging in something related to the famous Real Life (TM)?
That's emphatically not my experince. On the higher diffficulty levels in X-COM 1, the aliens come more frequently and are nastier, bolder and more intelligent. I promise you.
Son I'll be going to Cydonia! I only need an alien Commander and some trained telepaths first. I prefer a crew which...
Civic: robber capitalism.
Each turn, you sink deeper in debt because you have to service the debts and pay the exeutive bonuses of a lot of incompetent, greedy and dishonest banks.
Caused by running a deficit too long. Can only be abolished through a prolonged period of anarchy during...
Yes, well, by joining in aggressive war you have revealed yourself as someone who might very well attack *them* the next time. Chumming up top a country through a war and then backstabbing it is an age-old exploit in all Civ games. I've seen countless posts where people brag about doing that...
