I try to play civ 5 in steam i click play after the begining video when it goes to load it just crashes to windows desktop how do i fix that?

I have the game on steam as well and it lags on there the only thing i can think of is maybe lower the screen resolution i have'nt tried that yet

Yes i put it on the hard drive the reason i done that was the cd's i had to install would'nt work so instead buying new civ 4 i tried to copy it.

I have Raid 0 on that pc that has civ 4 on it, i think the reason it is not working is it has copy protection on it.
