Sticky - 7otM List of Games

posting multiple starting saves will be great for both veteran and newer players. Judging by the latest submissions it seems a larger percentage of regular GOTM players prefer Deity. The current AI is just not challenging enough even at Deity. Please always post a Deity save for each future...

7OTM06 - Completion of Modern Age Spoiler Thread

Deity save, turn 39 Econ victory. Since I was too lazy to unlock America in Exp age, so I took Mughal in modern mainly for the gold bonus. Befriended all 4 remaining AIs, and just Max gold, spam traders, rail stations, factories. Befriened a science and a gold CS, dispersed the rest. Rushed...

Thanks Lord Yanaek for hosting! Played Deity save. Turn 130 finish, 10 legacy points (3 science, 3 culture, 4 mil and econ). Since this is Economic Vic, I planned to grab a lot of land across Tundra to Tropical to secure potential Factory resources and build wonders. Played aggressively and...

Turn 37 completion. Total turns: 114+74+37=225 Dowed 3 AIs on turn 1, had 6 army commanders, 3 fleet commanders with high promotions from previous ages. They dominated AIs easily. Just wait for Ideology to take over cities (I actually found out that as soon as I start researching Facism, I...

7OTM05 - Completion of Age of Antiquity Spoiler Thread

114 turns, 10 legacy points. Main goal here is to take out one AI early, and expand, get 3 army commenders and lvl them up as much as possible for later ages. Since this Deity, aiming to complete Military and Commercy legacies only. Culture and science try to get 2 points each. Settle in place...

    Civ 7 7otM4 Announcement

If I am going for a Cultural vic in modern, I dont need to waste 2-3 hours to take over 10 crappy AI cities to get all the Military legacy points, but I will for sure have lower score than someone who does that using the current scoring system. Which takes some fun out of it.

    Civ 7 7otM4 Announcement

I think the issue with this scroing system is counting the legacy points in the Modern age. Since the victory type was Cultural, one would not waste time to get legacy points for other types, however, if someone will take the time and use more turns to milk all the legacy points for all types...

    Civ 7 7otM4 Announcement

Can we possibly post different starting saves for GOTMs at different difficulties? Same leader, same rules, but 3 different saves (one save for Sovereign, one save for Immortal, and one for Deity). And players can choose whichever difficuty that they want to play.

Civ 7 GOTM Poll (winning goal; civilization selection; mementos)

    1. Fewest turns in Modern Age Victory sounds like a good idea. When there is a chosen victory type (e.g. Science), not all the legacy path/points will matter in the modern age. But in order to achieve the fastest vic in modern, it is better to max legacy points in the previous 2 ages hence...

Civ 7 GOTM03 - Completion of Age of Exploration Spoiler Thread

I am at turn 49 in this age, seemed running into a bug with Medieval Bridge, it is giving tons of gold (54 gold each), the more bridge I built, the more gold each generated. Also attached my policies, it might have something to do with the gold adjacency bonus plus city state bonus that is...

Civ7 GOTM - 01 Completion of the Age of Antiquity Spoiler thread

I re-played this map for the 2nd time, this will not qualify as an entry but I learned a lot. First age ended on turn 124 since I killed Ashoka early. Rome at size 33 with 80 hammers/turn, this can cruise to any victory. 1. turn on the yield icon before setting cities (tundra tiles are actually...
