    Odd upgrades

I'm not directly changing any upgrade paths, only stopping UUs from becoming obsolete/replaced when they logically shouldn't.

    Odd upgrades

They are not cheaper than regular spearmen if that is what you were implying. I did not consider using them as fast pillaging units that are also resourceless. I try to avoid ultra early war, so the thought had not occurred to me. I guess every unit has its use. Zulu's are just not my kind of...

    Odd upgrades

While that's true, I just considered that another example of a terrible upgrade. I'd definitely prefer the additional move instead of the additional attack point. However, I'm sure there are a few who disagree... ? What I was trying to say is that I never foudn the Impi's extra movement point...

    Odd upgrades

I noticed that some UU's don't seem to upgrade logically. They seem to be due to the expansion packs (either new UU's or new units messing up upgrade tree). I know the civilopedia is no longer 100% accurate after the expansion packs, so I assume the expansions were a little "phoned in". Zulu...

    Eastern Europe is NOT under-represented

I'm absolutely astonished that people don't realize the differences between Eastern and Western Europe. YES IT HAS EVERYTHING TO DO WITH THE COLD WAR and YES IT STILL MATTERS POST-1991. A vast majority of the countries that were under the iron curtain are still lagging today (and then again...

Does anyone else find 4 to be monotonous?

A couple people recommended playing with Aggressive AI on... I've done that before and I felt it made the game more boring. Basically all it did was make the AIs go all Tokugawa on you and hate you. So they all become useless because they just get in your way cause they wont trade or open...

Does anyone else find 4 to be monotonous?

First off, I've only really played Civ 3 and 4. I have 1 for snes somewhere, but I never really understood it so I just cheated and goofed around. Civ 4 has gotten pretty boring for me. I played about 15-20 games over the course of spring quarter and it was a blast... until I noticed every...

    Donating units...

Not that I do it, but it could help you dump a capitulated vassal you are tired of carrying around.

    How to fix navy?

dude. blockading a country is only going to stop trade with country's you are at war with. for example, place a swordsman on a road between country 1 and a country 2. did anything happen? declare war on country 2. country 1 and country 2 wont be trading anymore!

How many golden ages do you use in a game?

I've NEVER used one. They are costly (I don't generate many GPs) and have been severely nerfed since Civ 3 (half duration). The only time I would ever create a Golden Age is if I got a Great Priest and Great Artist in quick succession towards end game and I wasn't going for Cultural Victory. And...

How to Lead Troops as a Warlord!

Not to mention the absolute GREATEST part about a medic siege unit... siege units always defend LAST! That means no more deaths from the dumbass AI thinking your priceless unit has the highest chance of success (below 50%!!!).

    How to intercept Nukes?

it's not fun when nukes are completely pointless. forget the stupidity of the SDI. bomb shelters, which largely do nothing outside of provide psychological comfort in real life, completely own nukes in this game.

    Wondering about wonders

Maps of europe from 1 AD to now. Byzantine and Holy Roman chat..

I'm surprised so many people aren't aware of this. While the Byzantine Empire was indeed the "Eastern Roman Empire", it was wasn't really "Roman". They were Greeks. Who emulated Roman. But they were Greeks. At the time of posting, I have just noticed something funny. The Romans lifted alot of...
