I remember when steam first came about, i truely expected it would lead to cheaper games because of less costs. But its lead to more expensive, all its done is added someone else to the chain who wants to make another piece of the profit pie. CD copy in my local supermarket £24.99. Steam £29.99...

I agree, but as apparently piracy is driving down sales (which i dont believe as the news keeps reporting record sales) they are going to find new revenue streams. Sadly that stream is straight from the pocket of the fans.

I really hate how companies quote social responcibility and saving the environment when its clear they are actually just cutting costs. What use is a PDF manual to me when i want to read it while playing the game, or on the loo. I'd gladly pay extra for a paper manual. Infact if someone wants...

I'd like to see something really original. all these new civs, new maps, etc are old old old ideas that can be done with some basic modding. How about something really cool like an expanded concept.... like space race not being the end. How about making it so that domination of the new planet...
