Thanks, I misunderstood a little.
I thought that for one tile, the workers increased as the population increased.
Still wondering regarding this pic: http://img7.imageshack.us/my.php?image=namnlsgc1.jpg
Just as an example, is this good for commerce or production? My guess is commerce, since...
So the ratio between food, production and growth stays the same? That is, if the population increases, so does also the food production, together with mines?
Pitfalls don't have anything to do with it, since the same conditions apply for all units evenly.
It's just a "flaw". But on the other hand, Civilization has never claimed to be a realistic game.
I just played the HUGE earth scenario. It took me three days, and got a bit hard to manage when the cities exceeded 90.
Mostly because the infernal computer has all the processor power needed to micromanage to achieve his elaborate strategies to attack me at all my weaknesses.
Is there any...
Mechanics are still flawed when it comes to tanks.
1000 cavalry units with swords/bows/muskets wouldn't have a chance against 10 modern tanks. Tanks would just run them over and make the worlds largest mincemeat sauce.
In Civilization 4, 5 cuirassiers stand a chance against one tank, if they're...
Then I take it food is crucial for every city, no matter the specialization.
That helps me sort a few things out.
Another question I have is:
can one bomber take out a fort? I'm using a bomber for such a thing, but it just keeps on failing.
I see, because of the minerals in the hills and the food from the plains, I take it.
So a city in rocky/hilly terrain should optimally NEVER be a commerce city?
Doesn't each city need to manage its own food? That would make the production cities quite small.
Does science count as production...
Thanks.
But it ain't possible to make a commerce city into a production-based one?
And how do you know if you're going to make a city production or commerce?
Thanks!
Another question I have, is if it is possible to adjust "specialization" of cities after a while? I only want some cities to provide military units, the rest I want dedicated to production and science. Any tips for this?
For convenience I number the questions.
1.
I'm wondering what the range of Forbidden Palace maintenance reduction is?
I've conquered Western and Eastern Europe in Earth scenario, and I'm thinking if a Forbidden Palace in Eastern Europe can reduce costs in the whole region?
2.
Do...
Gee, that was quite an army of knights he had.
It took 5 tanks, 10 artillery, 15 infantry and 8 airships three rounds to obliterate him.
Never seen such a big army. I got a message before he attacked, about hordes of knights. So I guess it's some sort of event or something?
I thought cities couldn't be built when there where units from another civ in the initial city radius?
And still, they could resettle, but then they'd have to start all over so I still get an advantage.
