I have allways irritated my friends in this manner..the poor guy used to come with a stack of 15-20 troops right in front of my cities...then 4 of my trebs do a collateral damage on his troops and my knights sweep the leftovers away.

Well is it a widescreen in which u only see the first half of the screen..In that case i had the same problems with other games except CIV4...look in the graphics option of any "antialysing(something close too that)" button and turn it off...it allways works for me.

Damn...thats a lot of info...... Now ill have to miss collage tomorrow also :mad:

Can any one describe to me the full bonuses of all the traits in BTS..I have been playin this game but unable to know the full bonuses tat these traits give..:blush:

I am really missing the ultra huge maps that CIV 3 used to have..All those huge Empires with 70+cities..not that i am complaining of Civ4 but dont u guyz miss them too.Am i the only person missing them..... Isabella always seems to be annoyed with me in evry game and declared war on me all...

Depends ..Normally i promote a few soldiers for defence when they r in a stack...the offensive troops r promoted before battle.

When do u normally promote ur units , As soon as they r made or just b4 battle ?

@ merkinball - U said u saw screenshots of specialized economies...where did u find that from.Am also intrested in knowing the power of the specialised economies. Say u wanna make an city for making a lott of money..Is a coastal city the best option with a few cottages. ??? Me a newb In CIV4...

Once i was playing as Carthaganians and attacked Rome with 3 Armoured war elephants and 12 round shield cavalry and several mercenary hoplites. And 5 Catapults Had a 8 star General commanding my troops cant remember his name though. Was the coolest battle i had ever fought. Was wonderfull...

For me the looks dont matter.I look for a game in which i have to use my brains to win.Thats why i play games like civ 3 and hoi2 .Allways noticed each and evry strat game will allways have a weakness of a sort. Civ 3 military is a bit odd tank losing to spearman.1 warrier wining against 4...

Ur rite it his opinion.I got a little out of hand frm his seemingly rude words.If he doesn,t likeit all he has to do is to say it properly. Other than being rude. The probs with total war type games is that the maps have to remain small due to the graphics and terrian which will have to be put...

There r several people who love HOI 2. It doen,t need to be a universal truth. U just goota accept the fact it is a cool game, if not for u others at least.

I AM TALKING ABT HOI 2 .Thers a lot of diff. frm HOI and HOI 2.Theres no game in the world who can match the military strategies and realism involved in HOI. If u dont like it fine.Any way who cares abt what u think any way.There r several others in this forum who can give a proper feedback...
