Hmmm, I must have been clicking the wrong button in all the excitement. Will be more mindful of endgame buttons from now on. Thanks guys.

I've reached a cultural and a space race victory so far. In both cases the game records the score and doens't give me the option to continue with playing. Which is rather frustrating since my Carrier groups don't get to wreak havoc. :(

Hi everyone. :) I just recently bought a copy of Civ IV in hopes of making a break from Guild Wars. I've been playing Civilization since the original. I'm 29 and will probably be asking a lot of noob questions in the following months. :D

Here's one that's been bothering me since I got the game: Is there a way to keep playing after a victory has been achieved? I own only Civ IV and have been playing a bit for a month now and this really bothers me. Back in the days of Civ II one could continue to play after victory.
